Job Description

This position needs a detail-oriented person who can multitask in a busy environment. The role involves processing purchase orders with suppliers, regularly following up to ensure timely deliveries, and keeping accurate records of incoming goods. You will need to communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve issues related to price, availability, lead time, and delivery, as well as prepare reports as needed.

You will maintain accurate pricing records, negotiate special prices when necessary, and keep supplier information updated in the central database. Coordination with Logistics, Sales, Warehouse, and Accounts is crucial to ensure timely shipments and receipt of goods. You will analyse sales trends, monitor and update safety stock levels, and coordinate between the logistics department and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries according to schedule. Daily communication with the sales and category teams is necessary for effective demand planning.

You will resolve issues related to short or excess received goods and inform the warehouse team. Ensure that quality control and technical claims are followed up and closed on time. Review inventory levels by SKU and supplier weekly and work with the category buyer to set order levels. Generate and process purchase orders, obtain order confirmations, and relevant documents from suppliers. Inform key stakeholders of any price or SKU changes from suppliers. Perform other duties as assigned by the category buyer or department head.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience, particularly in handling a large number of SKUs and managing international suppliers. They must be adept at preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, and making recommendations based on their findings. Professional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills, are essential.

The candidate should be willing to work on a flexible schedule, both locally and at offsite locations, and must be highly delivery focused. Experience in the bathroom industry, with knowledge of categories such as mixers, sanitary ware, bathtubs, drains, or bathroom accessories, is an advantage. Additional preferences include holding a valid UAE driving license and experience working with Microsoft AX.
