Job Description

The Media Relations & Public Affairs Executive is a passionate skilled communicator who finds a story to tell at every interaction. They have the ability to write great content, engage with internal and external stakeholders with highest professionalism, portraying values of respect, excellence and entrepreneurial spirit. This role entails working with agencies, creating content, connecting with journalists and external partners, writing communication material and always monitoring, & measuring for continous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist to plan, develop, and execute successful corporate communications strategy and campaigns for the Middle East with a focus on KSA market
  • Map and continuously update A-List media relevant to Chalhoub Group
  • Build strong media relations with local, regional & international journalists
  • Contribute to the creation and update of the Groups Communication narrative (Key messages, fact sheets, boiler plates, biographies, Comms guidelines…)
  • Write content that contributes to the thought leadership strategy (opinion editorial, briefing documents, thought leadership pieces)
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to write communication material (press releases, social media posts)
  • Work closely with content and social media team to ensure best in class communication across all channels (website, presentations….) by supporting in their copy writing
  • Be the guardian of Chalhoub Group Brand Identity and Communication standard for all external use, in alignment with the Communication Content Guidelines for the Group.
  • Create the daily Chalhoub Group headlines newsletter with latest news for the Group and the industry
  • Liaise with media monitoring and PR agency on the monthly report to prepare, analyze the findings and provide a recap of media coverage

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the media relations field
  • Knowledge of the media landscape in the region with strong relationships with journalists and editors
  • Skilled in pitching stories, managing media inquiries, and securing media coverage
  • Expertise in developing and implementing strategic media plans
  • Proficiency in writing press releases, speeches, and other communication materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
