Maintaining production records. Follow up report progress as required by Senior Electrical Foreman.
Co-ordinating works in progress with Ship Repair Managers.
Identification, selection and fitting of marine type glands (including explosion proof).
Identification, selection and fitting of marine type cables.
Identification, selection and fitting of cable trays.
Identification, selection and fitting of electrical panels and cabinets including earthing and equipment in hazardous areas.
Select and use basic electrical test equipment (megger, phase sequence meter, multimeters, etc.).
Exercise discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
Liaise with other discipline foremen / supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor i.e. producing daily manpower requirement and generating resource shortfalls, surplus, responsible for HSEQ concerns on site.
Assist the senior foreman and supervisors in planning activities.
Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.
Perform inspections to ensure that the workers performance is up to the set standards
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma Electrical Engineering or any other relevant qualifications.
2 years trade apprentice course.
5 – 10 years of relevant experience at least 3 years’ experience as Leadman or Foreman.
