Job Description

We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic team. He/she will be responsible for developing and executing demand forecasting strategies, collaborating with various departments to create accurate demand plans, and optimizing inventory management processes. His/ Her expertise will play a critical role in ensuring efficient supply chain operations and meeting customer demand effectively.

Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical data, market trends, and market insights to develop reliable demand forecasts.

Collaborative Forecasting: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and other relevant departments to gather inputs and insights for creating a comprehensive demand plan.

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Participate in S&OP meetings to align demand forecasts with supply chain capacities and ensure a balanced approach to meet customer demands and optimize inventory levels.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts, and overstock situations.

Data Analysis: Analyze demand data, sales figures, and other relevant metrics to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks that could impact demand planning accuracy.

Demand Variability Management: Implement strategies to mitigate demand volatility and develop contingency plans to handle unexpected fluctuations.

New Product Introduction: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop demand forecasts for new product launches based on market analysis and historical data.

Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor demand planning performance, regularly assess forecast accuracy, Stock aging and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting: Prepare and present demand planning reports and insights to relevant stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration.
    Certification in supply chain management or demand planning (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is an advantage.
  • 7-10 years of experience in demand planning or supply chain management roles.
