Job Description

Cost Specialist overseeing and managing the financial aspects of facility-related projects and operations. Their primary focus is on controlling costs, budgeting, and ensuring that all facilities-related expenses align with the organization’s financial objectives

  • To develop cost estimates supported by benchmarked data and driven by value engineering and risk management best practice approaches.
  • To work with FM team to forecast cost for all business requirements , identify opportunities to reduce cost and drive potential value engineered solutions.
  • To work with FM team to evaluate claims and invoices.
  • To define, communicate and obtain all the necessary cost information from FM team for reporting purposes.
  • To monitor and report cash flow forecasts  timely and accurately.
  • To analyze and report variances in planned versus actual costs in each monthly report and support the team in identifying resultant recovery actions for the following month.
  • Check & verify Contractor’s Payment Applications / Invoices and supports their approval process providing requested inputs and clarifications.
  • Assist to develop and report Cash Plan and Accrual Status
  • Assist in providing Cost related information to the Budget Tracker and other reports.
  • Develop annual budget plan for FM department and to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Any other works as assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
  • Written and Spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic will be advantageous.
  • 7 years minimum financial experience in Cost Management and Budgeting.
  • Experience and knowledge in Facility Management Services.
