Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our enthusiastic team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina. 

The Maintenance Engineer will be in charge and required to install new equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment faults on site. You may also be required to remove old equipment and train the team on equipment operating procedures. You should have the ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills. Maintenance Engineer should be able to service and repair equipment without causing extended equipment downtime and your role will include key responsibilities such as:

  • Inspecting equipment and conducting routine maintenance.
  • Servicing and replacing old or faulty equipment and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment and to deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Proving technical support and training on new equipment.
  • Implements all necessary work procedures for preventive maintenance, initiate respective scheduled procedures and monitors carrying out of work as well as recording the results within appropriate filing system.
  • Adhering to all safety and performance regulations. 
  • Establishes a monthly report of works carried out, machines maintained, special events, consumption of energy and water, etc. to the Chief Engineer
  • Controls and endorses all invoices for installations, tools spare parts and consumption of material and forwards them for payment to the finance
  • Initiates, executes and/or monitors training of his/her staff for engineering matters.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally, you’ll have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the similar role in a four or five-star hotel or comparable industry, ability to demonstrate working with and engaging teams from different cultures, strong verbal and written communication skills along with being quality oriented with focus on details, high performance standards, able to multi-task & meet deadlines and technical proficiency in related software preferable. Available to work in all three shifts and without supervision.
