Civil Engineer Job

Employee in this position will undertake responsibility in maintaining the physical assets of the property, any new construction / refurbishment, maintenance, and repair of brick, cement, stone, cladding panels, glass and plaster for buildings located at depot, Viaduct structures, internal roads, pavements, fences, barriers or other station structures under the direction of Snr.Civil Engineer.

• Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests /work orders as assigned.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications.
• Inspect and interpret readings as required in real time, to determine areas of interest.
• Inspect Depot & station building and other structures to determine functional system and detect malfunction and needed repair making notes and recommendation using inspection check sheet and job task.
• Assist Engineer in preparing technical reports and site inspection reports.
• Prepare and complete the “Planned Preventative Maintenance” for Station / Deport structures including housekeeping.
• Set-up and calibrate all equipment used, interpret, evaluate, and document results through formal reports.
• Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
• Assist in monitoring & supervising all civil works being performed by outside contractors.
• Responsible for 24 hours emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Carry cell phones as required for on-call maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain all depot building system, infrastructures-Roads, pavement, sidewalks, viaduct, track drainage, fences, barriers and station structures as assigned.
• Responsible for alerting the Snr. Civil Engineer of any unusual occurrence and / or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
• Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable local codes, regulations, and requirements.
• Maintain a professional courteous manner with all Dubai Tram Staffs, vendor, contractors, and fellow employees.   
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
