We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Urban Planner to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the urban landscape by applying planning standards, conducting research, and supporting senior planners in various projects.
Planning Standards Application: Read, qualify, quantify, and succinctly represent planning standards applicable to projects and integrate these into proposals.
Regulatory Guidelines: Identify the correct sources of planning regulatory guidelines for different regions or authorities and present key findings to the senior team.
Documentation Preparation: With oversight from senior planners, prepare and review planning chapters/documents.
Interdisciplinary Integration: Understand the impact of integrating work from other internal disciplines or external consultants/stakeholders in the design sequence and deliverables output.
Benchmarking: Identify international and local benchmarks and precedents for further studies and effectively steer reviews as per project requirements.
Urban Design Writing: Produce fair descriptive writing of urban design principles and guidelines.
Report Preparation: Prepare basic reports, address key issues, and produce clear and accurate research papers. Contribute to draft sections of reports for review.
Project Brief Development: Support project managers/associates in developing project briefs to confirm client objectives.
Data Analysis: Review and understand datasets to correlate population projections against market demands and supply.
Innovative Approaches: Support the planning team in driving innovative approaches to efficient project delivery, such as improved site analysis assessment or site planning.
Proposal Development: Contribute to developing methodologies for proposals and assist the bid manager with tasks related to proposals.
Deputy Project Management: Perform Deputy Project Manager tasks as required.
Specialty Topics Development: Work with peers and graduates to develop specialty topics/interests in urban planning, such as wellness planning and placemaking.
Actively working towards professional membership such as RTPI, AICP, PIA, CIP, SIP, or an equivalent credential.
